Welcome to Shippee Hall! Shippee Hall is located across from Mirror Lake with some rooms offering a private bathroom. The Hall currently houses 296 residents, and the rooms are broken down to 145 doubles. Shippee is the home of the Fine Arts Learning Community and Connecting With the Arts Learning Community.

History

Shippee Hall was named after Lester E. Shippee who was a UConn Board of Trustees member from 1946-1959. Mr. Shippee was one of the five founders of the University of Connecticut Foundation, serving as its first president. Shippee hall was built in 1962.
