Undergraduate Summer Housing 2013 – Applications Due 8 Business Days Prior to Check-In to Avoid $50 Late Fee

  • Spring to May Term Housing Transition
    • Spring 2013 residents assigned to May Term housing will transition to their May Term assignment during the week of May 12th. Exact date TBA.
  • Summer to Fall 2013 Housing Transition
    • August 16, 2013: Summer residents living on-campus on this date with a Fall 2013 assignment will transition to their Fall 2013 assignment. No exceptions will be made to move on any other dates, either earlier or later.
  • Undergraduate Summer 2013 Housing & Meal Plan Rates
  • South Campus Repairs
    • Extensive repairs will be made to the exterior of the buildings in South Campus during Summer 2013. Repair work is expected to be noisy, take place as early as 7:00am, and will take the entire summer.

  • Spring to Summer Housing Transition
    • May 18, 2013: Graduate residents who Residential Life is unable to accommodate in their Spring 2013 assignment for the summer, who need summer housing beginning May 18th will transition to their summer assignment on this date.
  • Summer to Fall 2013 Housing Transition
    • Summer residents who are not assigned to their fall assignment for the summer will transition to their Fall 2013 assignment on Friday, August 16th. No exceptions will be made to move on any other dates, either earlier or later.
  • Graduate Housing Summer Storage
    • Residential Life is unable to offer summer storage. Students should look at off-campus storage options.

Students who need housing August 16th-23rd will be moved to a temporary assignment on August 16th.

  • Early Arrivals/Late Departures
    • Students who need to arrive early/depart late must indicate these dates on the housing application.
  • Summer Housing Fees
    • Summer housing fees are charged to student fee bills
    • An email is sent by the Bursar’s Office to the student’s UConn email account when new charges are posted.
    • After all appropriate fees have been paid, the Department of Residential Life will inform students of their housing assignment at the time of check-in, or prior to check-in via UConn email account.

  • Smoke-Free Residence Halls
    • All on-campus buildings are smoke-free per Connecticut State Law. Damage charges may be assessed for residents who do not comply.
