"Dorm Damage" If you have received a notation on a fee bill that notes "Dorm Damage", this will refer to most anything relating to your residence hall room that needed to be billed such as: Lock Changes, Lost Keys, Lock Outs (you have 2 free lock outs an academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer)), and any damage in your room noted at check-out.

Should you have questions regarding the "Dorm Damage" charges, please feel free to call us at 860-486-9000 and provide your name along with your netID.

KEYS - Have you lost your keys? If so, did you check the following places?

-Your car;

-Your friend’s room;

-Your room;

-Your pockets.

Please thoroughly check your room and any places you have been recently.
We may not be able to cancel the lock change once it has been submitted.

  • Check the color of the card access system light (red, orange, green)
  • Call 860-486-9000 or
  • Email thefrontdesk@uconn.edu (include system light color in email)
  • If your card is old, you may need to have it reactivated by the OneCard Office

What does The Front Desk do?

  • Respond to student lock-outs
  • Process work requests
  • Provide direct access for students & staff to report emergency facilities situations
  • Serve as liaison with the Lock Shop & Facilities Operations
  • Tackle any question and concern that comes to the desk!
