Towers Quadrangle

Allen, Beecher, Colt, Fenwick, Hamilton, Jefferson, Keller, Kingston, Lafayette Morgan, Sherman, Sousa, Trumbull, Vinton, Wade, Webster

Towers is a dynamic community comprised of every class standing. Here students find a peaceful environment to live and study. Every year, students consider the strong community as the best reason to live in Towers! Come and join us.

Each half or quarter wing of the building has its own name; there are sixteen building names in all: Beecher, Vinton, Kingston, Allen, Keller, Fenwick, Wade Hamilton, Jefferson, Colt, Webster, Sherman, Trumbull, Sousa, Morgan, and Lafayette. Most floors are single sex, however, gender alternates by floor and there are opportunities to live on co-ed floors.. Towers has a diverse mix of students and class standings, but a significant percentage of freshmen currently live in the area. The sophomores and juniors who return to Towers tend to do so because of the relationships they have made with their floor-mates. The sense of community is strong in Towers.

Rooms are double occupancy, but there is one triple occupancy room on each floor. Each room comes with a student desk and chair, small bureau, and bed with loft set. One corner room on each floor is assigned to the Resident Assistant so that he or she is centrally located and accessible to residents on both sides of the floor.

Recent Upgrades

Up until a decade ago each of these houses had their own cafeterias and Chef Managers who would develop their own independent menus in each of the cafeterias across campus. Residents would dine in their own buildings and the Chef Managers would cater to their specific needs. Once dining operations were centralized, the management of these units was turned over to Area Managers who work with the Chef Managers to run the dining halls. A new, larger facility dining hall, which opened in the Fall of 2003, is the only dining unit located in Towers Quadrangle. The Towers Dining Hall was renamed Gelfenbien Commons in Spring 2008.
