Spring 2020 Room Change Process

Spring 2020 Room Change Process

The Spring Room Change Process will be open from February 3, 2020 through February 21, 2020. Open spaces on campus are limited and due to the high number of room change applications we receive, we anticipate that not all requests will be able to be honored. We will do our best to offer everyone the opportunity to move, even if not to their top choice areas. Should you have concerns about your specific situation, please contact us directly.

There will be two distinct processes for students to change rooms for the Spring 2020 semester.

Room Changes - Move to an Open (Vacant) Spot
Trading Space - Swap rooms with another student. Does not involve a vacant space and both students who wish to trade spaces must email livingoncampus@uconn.edu to confirm consent.

Room Changes (Move to a Vacant Spot)

Room Change Request Reminders

  • Vacancies are limited and requests are high. Being open to move campus areas or room types will increase your chances of moving rooms.
  • Apartment and Single Room Requests: Room change offers for apartment spaces and single rooms will be prioritized by class standing and date of request; not by specific requests. Specific requests for single rooms will not be accepted.
  • Requests from pairs/Groups: Vacancies for multiple people are extremely limited and will only be offered if available. Due to limited space, requests for specific campus areas cannot be accepted.

Specific Room Requests
Know of a room that will have an opening? Make sure you include that on your room change application and Residential Life will see if the room will be available.
