Spring Semester Arrival Information

Spring Semester 2021 Arrival Information

All Continuing and New Residents for Spring 2021 will return the weekend of January 16 - 17, 2021. Storrs students will sign up for a move in time slot through their MyHousing Page. This INCLUDES students who are returning to their Fall 2020 assignment.

Students are not permitted to arrive before their scheduled time. Due to the pandemic and accompanying testing requirements for spring 2021 we are not able to accept any requests for students to arrive prior to the January 16-17 weekend.

Below are more specific details about what you can expect when arriving on campus during your selected check in time between January 16-17.

After being tested for COVID-19, you will receive a wrist band and you may proceed to your centralized key pickup site to receive your keys to your housing assignment. Following key pick-up you will proceed to your assigned living area to unload your belongings then move your vehicle to appropriate parking locations.

Staff members will be available across campus to assist you with this process, but we rely on all students to go through these steps in order and to arrive on-campus at the time they signed up for in MyHousing.

Things to Remember for January Arrival:

  1. Follow specific traffic directions that will be on the Residential Life website. Please do not use GPS.
  2. First step will be to proceed to your assigned COVID-19 testing location at the time you signed up for.
  3. Please wear a mask when participating in any of the steps of move in.  Only one person can come to help the student move into the building, only one car can unload by the residence hall.
